DSYS facilitates advance camp for archers, trainers

Department of Sports and Youth Services (DSYS), Odisha in co-operation with Tata Steel Limited facilitated a 10-day advance training camp for 39 budding archers and three trainers from sports hostels of Malkangiri, Keonjhar and Phulbani at the Tata Archery Training Centre in Jamshedpur.

According to a DSYS press release, the training camp, which commenced on May 5, was the first of of its kind initiative by the Government of Odisha aimed at enhancing the skills of the archers through advance and intensive training.

From Sports Hostel, Phulbani: Suryakant Karji Majhi, Aurjun Marndi, Abhiram Paleya, Sipun Singh, Bikram Mandi, Bharat Gomango, Siman Gadaba, Krushna Chandea, Klemanta Rupa Majhi, Lokenda Mutha Majhi, Abala Suka Majhi, Lemanta Pradhan, Amit Suna Majhi. Trainer: Asaram Hansada.

From Sports Hostel, Malkanagiri: Debendra Kabasi, Gopinath Bhumia, Ganguli Gudia, Nilambar Gunjhia, Suresh Lika, Dinabandhu Madhi, Raju Naik, Era Taki, Satyam Penduram, Mangaram Sisa, Sundar Dasha, Ramesh Bade. Trainer: Bhagatram Naik.
